Kokusai Dori Street

So Sunday we went to Kokusai Dori Street, which translated means "international street". It's somewhat famous I guess- it was fun. It was a lot of souvenir shops, cafe's, restaurants and Disney Okinawa stores! The wireless is going slow so I'm only going to share a few photo's. Our internet is getting hooked up tomorrow and then I'll post more pictures since it will be 200mbs!!! Wooo Hooo!! :D The pictures of the children in the street were a dance group or school (not real sure) but they put on a show in the street and Peyton LOVED them! She was eatin' it up when they were dancing!

Lately...

So Peyton went to her first birthday party Saturday! I think she had a good time... Here she is wishing she could jump in the bounce house!  Here her friend Zac is about to give her a hug...  Then here she is playin' with Zane in the ball pit... Here are a few pictures taken at the beach by our house...  I'm not sure what is up with the look here!! :)  Hopefully by Friday I'll post pictures of our trip to Naha, we visited Kokusai Dori Street. Friday we get our internet!! Wooo Hooo! Vonage will be up and running then too...

Townhouse

Some pics of the townhouse- everything is a mess right now! We get loaner furniture on Friday so it won't be so bare! Until the internet gets hooked up I've got to have the laptop by the window to use the neighbors wireless!!

Two posts in one day, whoa!! :)

Here are a couple pics of Peyton in the exersaucer...

Miss Peyton...

Here's a pic of Miss Peyton napping in her crib. Those are her fab new girly girl curtains in the background!! :) This is the view out of Peyton's window... Then here she is playin' in her exersaucer...

Photos

So one of the guys in Adam's flight lives across the street and is letting us use his wireless! Now I don't have to worry about someone stealing our info or the connection failing all of a sudden. Our internet is supposed to be installed in a couple weeks and then we'll have our vonage up and running... Spent 3 days dealing with curtains for our giant slider windows in the townhouse... it was a total pain. I was so sick of looking at curtains! I did get some really neat curtains for Peyton's room though. Adam accidentally took our camera card reader to work with him so I can't post the pics of her curtains right now. :( Lots going on right now, we're getting a giant piece of carpet to use as an area rug delivered for the living room today, Peyton should be getting an exersaucer later tonight and Adam's got his appointment to figure out government loaner furniture. Once we get some furniture in the townhouse I'll post pics but right now it's just a

Lifes a beach!

Today was a crazy day, we decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood today to snap some pics, ran into a girl I knew from middle school!! Talk about small world! Turns out her and her husband are here with the army and she lives right down the road!! Insane! Here are some pics for y'all to enjoy before I loose the wireless connection!! :) The East China Sea... This was on the sea wall, thought it was neat... Thought of Crystal when I saw this... I have tons more photo's to share but not the time right now :) Keep checkin' back!

Update

Currently we're back to having no internet until our broadband gets hooked up, could be up to three weeks. Ah. Oh well, I'm currently stealing the neighbors wifi so this will be short cause the connection isn't great! We've moved into the townhouse! Yeah! It's different, but we like it so far. Hopefully soon we'll get some pictures up. We'll be getting government loaner furniture hopefully by Friday. Right now we're sitting on the floor and sleeping on a futon our friends let us borrow! :)

Photos...

Here are a couple photo's I've been playing with... The ferris wheel is in American Village right by the base, Adam took this photo...

My little ham...

Here are a few pics of Peyton hammin' it up for the camera on the bed! Can't wait until we're able to move into our townhouse- TLF is cramped and Peyton is getting sick of playin' on the bed!! The carpet in our TLF room is really dirty so the bed is where I have her play!! :) Her favorite pastime has become chewing her hairbrush... Hey Momma! Hey Peyton!

Ryukyu

Just wanted to let everyone know who was wondering Okinawa is considered Japan, however it is also the largest island in the Ryukyu island chain, I guess it could be compared to Puerto Rico being a U.S. territory but not really the U.S. :)

The adventure begins!

So we're going to be living off base!! Holy cow I know! We've talked to people in the town houses we are going to be living in and they're all American and they all LOVE it so we're really excited about living off! The town house is 3 blocks from the gate and 1 block from a beach! Plus it's only a short walk to the sea wall! We should be moving in next week and then we'll be able to get our Vonage up and working hopefully and give some of y'all a call! :) Today has been super sunny and HOT! Here are some pics of the area the town house is located in, the beach is a 1 1/2 to 2 minute walk... Then these are just some random photo's I've taken... I thought the sewer caps were pretty! Of course the prettiest thing was this little munchkin trying to eat Daddies drink!! :)

The Car...

So we got a car yesterday! Yay! It's a 2001 Nissan Skyline. Most of you have probably never heard of it! As is the case with all the other cars over here! It was a toss up for me between the Skyline and a Toyota Windom that was for sale. I really liked the Toyota but by the time we got our licenses and etc. the Windom was sold. I do like the Skyline too, it's nice. It's definitely more Adams car than mine... I'm still afraid to drive! I drove it last night for about 10 minutes and that's it! It's very different driving on the left! I already told Adam it will be a while before I feel confidant enough to drive off base! Other than the car we've just been busy figuring out things we need to do and whatnot. I'm amazed at how great Peyton has adapted during this whole process. She really has been the best baby I could ever ask for! This is a pic I found when I was going through the car pics of her the other day in the big girl high chair! She was all excit
