New House!

So we're going to be moving in about a week or so... here are some pics of the new place. Adam knows the guy moving out so he let us come in and measure and everything before the final inspection is done by our housing agency. We sign the lease on Tuesday! So not excited to move all our stuff but very excited to be into a bigger place! Little princess of the beanbag! Bubbles! One of the bonus rooms on the 3rd floor Dining room and kitchen Outside of the new place! View from the balcony I like the front door! This is actually the neighbors door but ours looks the same! Peyton rockin' her cool shades! She was wandering around the house with this beanie from Oma- she found it in her room and put it on herself! Living room

Update

Update on the genealogy search... I found a pre-existing family tree on Genealogy.com and it looks like Sarah Rebecca Walton's (Peter H Poarch spouse) Grandfather Henry Walton had military service it states 1775, capt then major Revolutionary war!!! That means we've got ancestors that were in the Revolutionary war AND the Civil war!!I'm going to do some more research to get more concrete proof... like the documents I found for Peterson Goodwin Taylor. Here is the link- http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/a/x/Linda-F-Saxon-SC/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0047.html Here is another tree I found on Issac Rowe Walton, Sarah R Poarch's Great Grandfather. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2107963&id=I98158040

Genealogy

So all of you related to me know I've been really into my families genealogy for quite some time now... since I was about 18! Recently I was searching one of Brunswick County Virginia's historical information sites. My Grandma's family has been concretely put in the Brunswick County area since the mid 1800's. I've discovered at least three family cemeteries, my Great Grandparent's had a Poarch cemetery on their property where my Grandparents are buried, a Taylor(My Great-Great Grandparents) family cemetery and now I've found photo's online of ANOTHER earlier Poarch cemetery! For all of you Patton's interested here is the link...  http://www.brunswickcemeteries.org/HTML/porch.htm this is where Peter H Poarch- Grandma's Great Grandpa- James Washington Poarch's Dad and his wife are buried along with some other family members. There is actually a lot of genealogy info on the site.

Backdrops arrived!

The backdrops Adam ordered me for my birthday FINALLY arrived today! Here's a pic of Peyton with one while we were practicing today... This was more of a goof pic since Peyton got sick of posing but I liked the way it turned out...

Playdough take 2...

So we made another batch of playdough... this time it was a cooked version. I think it turned out a lot better, it's more the consistency of store bought playdough. Here is the recipe for anyone interested: 2 cups of plain flour 2 cups of colored water 1 Tbsp. of cooking oil 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 cup of salt Directions: Place all of the ingredients in a medium size saucepan. Cook slowly on medium-high and stir until the playdough thickens. Keeps best in the fridge in plastic containers. It makes a good amount of playdough and I colored the water this time but next time I'll separate and color individual dough balls since we ended up with a boatload of yellow playdough! ;)

Camera Phone Adventures!

Here are some photo's I finally uploaded off my camera phone... Shimanchu was a fish place out Gate 3 Kadena we visited recently. The Butter Yaki & Pork Soba was fantastic! For anyone who wants to visit it's right next to Sun-Sea(Take a right out Gate 3 and it's on your left). We showed up right at 5:30 and it wasn't too busy but we were told show up right at 5:30 if you can because once the fish sells it's gone. I guess they cook the fish that's caught same day and there is a limited quantity available.  We got the Butter Yaki The Butter Yaki was Fantastic! Homemade Naan bread Peyton going down the slide all by herself! Playing in the cool chairs at the Dr's office when she had her rash...

Bubbles!

So for my birthday I asked Granny for a bubble maker... I got a tip from a friend it'd be a great photo prop and boy was she right!!! ;) Peyton sure does love playing with it too! Some of the other shots are what your house looks like when you babysit three boys!! Here is what your house looks like when you babysit 3 boys!

Shakeology...

So tomorrow I'm starting a new fitness plan. Starting with a nutritional meal replacement system called Shakeology. Anyone interested can visit my website-  http://myshakeology.com/NicoleRRogers and order from there! I'm pretty excited about it! The coach who signed me up lost 49lbs and went from a size 14 to a 4 in 90 days on the system! I don't need to loose quite that much so hopefully it's going to work great for me! I'm looking to loose some, tone up & gain more energy to chase Peyton around with!

Photos Galore!

So it's been a while since I've updated the blog! Not too much new going on, still hot and humid! ;) Saturday we went to a birthday party and they had a bounce house, Peyton fell in love! A little farther down Peyton is playing with cookie cutters in dough, that's homemade play dough! I didn't have food coloring at the time so it was bland looking... for those of you interested here is the site I got the recipe off of...  http://www.easy-homemade-recipes.com/play-dough.html Getting stuck in her lego basket Ready to hit the park!
