New Adventure...

We found out last week we will be leaving Okinawa soon. Our EFMP reassignment came through and they are relocating us to the states so Keira can get the audiology care she needs. Technically we are only leaving 6 months ahead of schedule but it feels like our time on Okinawa has been cut drastically short. I guess partly because our PCS back stateside is a whirlwind one, typically you have 4 months to prepare. Though we are excited to start this new chapter in our lives, I can not express how much we will miss Okinawa and the wonderful people we've met here. The past 3 1/2 years here have been great. The people (our awesome neighbors!), food, scenery... a piece of my heart will always remain in Okinawa. Arigato gozaimasu! 7 months :) Keira 7 months White eye on a cherry blossom tree. Pretty cosmos flowers Keira Mae at 7 months. Not too fond of headbands anymore... Peyton enjoying the sunset Sunset off the seawall ...

Cherubims (Kitten's room)

So this week we had the pleasure of heading down to a cat cafe here on Okinawa! Peyton LOVED it! We're actually planning to head back over to it this weekend just Peyton and I! She fell in love with a little white kitten there. They're all rescue cats and they're all available for adoption from my understanding. You walk in and they've got the cafe area where there are a few cats in cages and some tables. It's ¥500 to enter and spend an hour. This includes one drink. They also have a few small things you can order to eat and snack on. Next to the cafe there is a room where the cats roam freely. You can sit and enjoy the time with the cats. They've also got snacks you can buy to feed the kitties for ¥200. For those thinking about visiting Peyton is only 3 and all the cats were very sweet to her and we had no problems so I'd say kids are very welcome! :) To get there head south on 58, turn left at the stoplight after Jimmy's bakery and the cafe is on your ...

Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a VERY Merry Christmas!!! We had a really nice Christmas, we were very thankful this year Adam was with us! I think Peyton got everything she wanted & Keira got LOTS of teething gifts. :) She just wants to put EVERYTHING in her mouth right now. Can't believe she's 6 months old now! The light pictures are from the light displays at American Village, I'm afraid they're not too great as I haven't practiced too much with taking night shots. 6 months! From the Children's Christmas party a few weeks back. Peyton meeting Santa! Giving Santa a thumbs up! Face paintings! Peyton & her friends at the Christmas party. Adam & Peyton rode the Ferris Wheel again...
