Toys R Us

Daddy and Peyton were ill the past couple days... some sort of stomach bug. Yesterday they were feeling a bit better so we went to the Toys R Us in Awase, it was pretty neat. Peyton ended up getting a bouncy ball that bounces REALLY high and a shopping cart full of stuff to go with her kitchen! ;) She spent all day yesterday driving the cart through the living room and putting stuff in and out of it!

Drawing with her new window crayons.

I love taco rice!

Her new toy sushi and sashimi!

Lately she's been putting goldfish in the old measuring cups I gave her for her kitchen then getting a spoon and eating them that way!

Yummy! Home-made taco rice(an Okinawan specialty)!!

Some of her new goodies for her kitchen!

What a multitasker! Driving her cart and talking on her fake cell phone!

Watching Elmo's World on the ipad

Driving her new cart around!

The new cart!

What a bucket head! ;)

Adam's home brew! He's aerating it here!

Kindergarten!

Well... we've got ourselves a kindergartener! I can't hardly believe it! Time sure does fly by. Keira's Cochlear Implant was finally approved and authorized and we now have ourselves an implant date! Tricare ended up denying her twice and her Dr had to schedule a peer to peer with United healthcare/Tricare. Everything seems to be on track now though. I'll try to keep on top of updating the blog after the implant to show her progress :) K for Kindergarten! :) Pledge of Allegiance at the flag ceremony

7 months post activation

So we are at almost 7 months post activation with Keira's Cochlear Implant. Since the 3rd mapping her vocalizations and attempted words have grown so much! She now wears both her Neptune and her Naida processors. She still prefers the Neptune but she is much more tolerable of her Naida. She is also wearing her hearing aid with her Cochlear implant more and more. She still doesn't tolerate the hearing aid in the car for long periods but she does great at her toddler class and during speech with the aid. She is becoming more and more aware of music and likes to dance now! :) Her sign vocabulary is steadily growing too as is mine! Just the other day during her toddler class she impressed me so much! They take the kids out one at a time and do a "focus" time which is similar to speech and lasts about 15 minutes. We were reading a book with Keira that had flaps and there was a frog and our specialist was telling her "Jump, jump, jump" & Keira picked up the bo...

Comprehensive

So Saturday evening we went down to Comprehensive park to check it out and see what it was all about. The park has a WHOLE lot to offer! There are TONS of stuff, we only saw about a 1/4 of the park. Peyton got to play her little heart out! As for Tabby, he's still on 6 pills a day. He seems to be getting some of his spunk back...we've got another appointment on Saturday for an ultrasound to check his heart. I went bow crazy and got Peyton this headband. I have other pics I will post later. Playing hard! Loving on Tabby.
